About the Author

Dr David K Shelton

Dr. David K. Shelton is a 1970 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, where he majored in Life Sciences. He began his career in medical research at the School of Aerospace Medicine before attending medical school at Wake Forest University. Following a distinguished 22-year career in the United States Air Force, Dr. Shelton transitioned to academia, joining the University of California, Davis as a medical professor. He now holds the title of Professor Emeritus, reflecting his long-standing contributions to medical education, research, and service.
